Starting Preschool

Bobtails is open to every family in the community. Before a child attends the setting a registration form must be completed.

We recognise the importance of working together to help your child settle well into the nursery; by working together we can ensure that this is a happy time for both you and your child.

When starting at the setting we ask for a password; this will be unique to your child and ensure their safety when being collected form the setting

Home Visits.

We value parents as their children’s first educators, and staff work closely with parents to share information and experiences. As part of Bobtails settling in procedure we offer a home visit. This allows parents and staff to have an informal chat, and allow the child to meet their key person.

 Key person

Your Child will have their own key person. The key person is responsible for ensuring that your child feels safe and cared for and to support their learning and monitor their progress. Parent meetings are held termly with your childs key person to discuss your childs progress.

At Bobtails we believe that no child, individual or family should be excluded from the groups activities on the grounds of age, gender, sexuality, class, family status, disability, colour, ethnic origin, religion or belief. We aim to ensure that all who wish to work in, or volunteer to help in, our pre-school have an equal chance to do so.

We operate an inviting play enviroment that encouarages free play with some structured activities.
